Heyy, Welcome to my nerd-ass Website!
I'm constantly coming across random interesting information and facts, so I created this as a place to share it.

Echolalia
Wiktionary Wikipedia
Echolalia (IPA: /ˌɛkə(ʊ)ˈleɪlɪə/), from Latin ēchō (echo) from Ancient Greek ἠχώ (ēkhṓ) (echo) and Ancient Greek λαλιά (laliá) (talk (noun)), a type of echophenomenon, is the repetition of words or phrases spoken by another person, either involuntarily or voluntarily as imitation, usually by children.
I came across echophenomenon while making this and honestly that page, in and of itself, is a gold mine of interesting, related words.

Quine (computing)
Wikipedia
A quine is a brilliant computer program that, without taking any input, produces its own source code. They are named in honour of American philosopher and logician Willard Van Orman Quine, and if you‘re familliar with Quine‘s paradox you may be able to see why from the example.
A Python3 example:a = 'a = {}{}{}; print(a.format(chr(39), a, chr(39)))'; print(a.format(chr(39), a, chr(39)))
A really cool extension of quines are ouroboros programs or quine relays. These are loops of programs each one of which outputs the code for the next program in the series. For example: a Haskell program that outputs code for a Python program that outputs code for a Ruby program that ouputs code for the original Haskell program. The longest chain given is 128 languages long.

Gender (Symbol) Maker
Finally! After like 2 weeks Gender Maker is done. Well, not done done but functional. Basically I wanted to make something where you could make your own gender (or astronomical) symbol. I wanted to allow for the creation of any of these:
Source - By Cari Rez Lobo - Deviant Art, Instagram
There‘s definitely more I want to add / improve but right now it‘s good enough.

Quine‘s Paradox
Wikipedia
Quine‘s paradox is a paradox stated by American philosopher and logician Willard Van Orman Quine in April 1962. It is related to the liar paradox (e.g. "This sentence is a lie."), but shows that a sentence can be paradoxical without explicitly referring to itself. The paradox reads:"yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation" yields falsehood when preceded by its quotation.

New Mexico Whiptail [Lesbian Lizard]
Wikipedia Wikispecies
Lesbian lizards! Fucking lesbian lizards! The best animal.
The New Mexico Whiptail (Aspidoscelis neomexicanus) is a species of lizard in the Teiidae familly that are found in the U.S. states of Arizona and New Mexico, and are, in fact, the state reptile of New Mexico. They are a female only species (though there was no info about whether they have any concept of gender) and reproduce parthenogenetically; they lay eggs that hatch without needing to be fertilised. However, they do engage in mating behaviour with each other, hence the name.

cw: The "conflict" in Palestine, though a positive message of solidarityar.wikipedia
Wikipedia
A bit of a different one: not an article but an entire language version. I just wanted to highlight the fact that Arabic language Wikipedia has a message of Palestinian solidarity, which is awsome (though it would be better if it were on all versions of Wikipedia, especially as Arabic readers, I imagine, are much more likely to already be aware of and on the right side of the situation).

I should've heeded Tom Scott. Dates and times are so complicated to work with. Not only are there different date and time formats across different countries and languages, but timezones as well aren't even 1 to 1 with countries. So if a datetime isn't formatted correctly for you, it's not my fault! (I'll fix it at some point)

Fun Fact: Troopers Tribunal is a circus march composed in 1905 by American composer Henry Fillmore. He gave it a pun title (troopers as in a military troop, rather than troupers as in a circus troupe) so as to hide its intension from his conservative father (who was also his publisher). Also, his father had referred to trombones as "uncouth and sinful".

Visual Agnosia
Wikipedia
Visual agnosia (IPA: /æɡˈnəʊʒə/) is an impairment in the recognition of visually presented objects. Agnosia is from Ancient Greek ἀγνωσία (agnōsía) meaning "ignorance". What's so interesting is that it's specifically to do with recognition and is unrelated to ability in vision itself, language, memory, or intellect.

Entrance of the Gladiators
Wikipedia
It's the clown music! Entrance of the Gladiators (Czech: Vjezd gladiátorů (IPA: [ˈvjɛst ˈgladɪjaːtɔruː])) was composed in 1887 by Czech composer Julius Fučík (IPA: [ˈjulɪjus ˈfutʃiːk]) while he was a military bandmaster of the Austro-Hungarian Army. It was originally created as a military march but, in 1901, Canadian composer Louis-Philippe Laurendeau arranged a version for concert bands. This version then gained popularity as a circus screamer.

List of Flags by Colour Combination
Wikipedia
The first of many lists I'm sure. This is honestly one of the most useful things, like, if you see a flag in the wild, chances are it'll be here. It's got all standard country flags, plus many subdivision, non-standard country, and some pride flags.

I thought I’d start strong with a great word I discovered a little while ago, and a chance to test the content warnings:
cw: Discussion of porn - no images
Pornotopia
Wiktionary Wikipedia
Essentially it’s the fantastical world found in pornography and erotica, where normal social taboos and restrictions are largely nonexistent and everyone is willing to have sex at any moment. There seems to be a lot more actual critical theory to it but that’s a bit beyond me. I just think it’s a fantastic word.

Making this site has really reinvigorated my joy of coding. But, my god, HTML/CSS/JavaScript can be bloody fiddly. I think it's mostly from the fact that you don't really get direct feedback from the program as you write it, so it's harder to know exactly what's gone wrong. Specifically the fact that if you mess something up it doesn't throw an error, it still runs but just doesn't work.
Rambling aside it's still fun though
ps. is is there like a word for "HTML/CSS/JS"? Like WebLang or something?... yeah imma just call it weblang
